  Stone Earle passed for three touchdowns and Peyton Mansell ran for 107 yards and a score as Abilene Christian routed Lamar 56-0 on Saturday night. Tyrese White added 82 yards rushing for the Wildcats (3-1, 1-0 Atlantic Sun-WAC Challenge). The defense held Lamar to 136 total yards and scored two touchdowns as Ryan Stapp returned an interception 25 yards for a TD and Koy Richardson returned a fumble 25-yards for a touchdown. Earle's touchdowns - 13 yards to Jordan Brooks-Wess, 11 yards to Darius Lewis and 9 yards to Kobe Clark - were the first three scores of the game. Earle completed 13 of 18 passes for 185 yards.   Tyrese White ran for 103 yards and Abilene Christian piled up 27 points in the second quarter to defeat Division II-member UT Permian Basin 34-9 on Saturday night. White was one of four players to share the Wildcats' four touchdowns. His 40-yard TD run got things started in the second quarter, then Stone Earle hit Kobe Clark with a 16-yard pass and Jordan Paup returned an interception for a score and a 27-6 halftime lead.   Stone Earle threw a career-high six touchdown passes, including two to Kobe Clark, and Abilene Christian beat Division III Louisiana College 62-7 on Saturday night. Earle was 18-of-19 passing for 233 yards and Clark finished with four receptions for 65 yards. Darius Lewis had 131 yards receiving and a score and Anthony Smith had 10 carries for 64 yards, including a 7-yard touchdown run that made it 34-0 early in the second quarter.

Louisiana College went three-and-out on each of its first three drives and failed to convert on fourth downs on each of its next two possessions while ACU (2-0) scored touchdowns on six consecutives drives to open the game. Quae Walton had a 16-yard touchdown reception to make it 14-0 midway through the first quarter and his 1-yard TD run capped the scoring with 1:31 to play.   Gophers second-year safety Abner Dubar has entered the NCAA transfer portal, a source confirmed Tuesday to the Pioneer Press. Dubar, of Anna, Texas, was a three-star recruit in the 2020 class, and he did not participate in a game last fall. The 6-foot-1, 185-pound player made four tackles in the U's spring game at TCF Bank Stadium on May 1. Dubar is the second scholarship player to depart the U since the end of spring practices.   Tracy James crashed in for the winning score as Abilene Christian won its second overtime game this season, slipping past Nicholls 37-31 on Saturday. Nicholls had possession first in the extra period but Jairan Parker stripped Kendall Bussey of the ball and Brandon Richmond pounced on it on the second play of OT. Abilene Christian (5-4, 4-3 Southland Conference) moved to the 5 in four plays and James took it in for the win. The Wildcats got past Stephen F. Austin 31-24 in double overtime last week. ACU, which recorded its first road win of the season, took the lead 17-14 when James bulled in from the 1 as time expired in the first half.

The Wildcats were ahead 31-21 going into the final quarter. Chase Fourcade scored from the 1 and Gunnar Jones booted a 19-yard field goal with 1:53 remaining to tie the score and send it to overtime. Nicholls (4-4, 3-2) lost three fumbles and Fourcade was intercepted once. ACU's Luke Anthony was picked off twice. Sema'J Davis rushed for two touchdowns and 146 yards and James finished with 75 yards and two scores for the Wildcats. Anthony threw for 181 yards and one TD.   OCT 14 SOUTHLAND OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK: Josh Fink, Abilene Christian, Sr., Wide Receiver, Coppell, Texas,...Fink put the Wildcats on the board on their first drive with a 12-yard touchdown reception, his fourth on the year and 13th of his career. He and teammate Kobe Clark, who caught nine passes for 107 yards, became the first ACU duo to finish a game with 100 yards each in four seasons. Fink's 12 receptions tied for the seventh-most in single-game program history and moved him to No. 4 on the school's all-time receptions list (159). He also became the 10th Wildcat to eclipse the 2,000-yard mark (2,001).
